College Enviros Get Wild at Monarto

27.09.17

From Tuesday 19 September, sixteen Enviro students spent three days at Monarto Zoo. We participated in many activities, including habitat restoration for endangered animals, observing a zoo vet in action, and a safari tour of the zoo. The students, ranging from Year 5 to 9 slept in swags, cooked their own meals and thoroughly enjoyed the rugged experience together. We all left the zoo with a better understanding of how we can make a difference to our environment and conserve endangered animal species. On behalf of all the Enviro team, I would like to thank Mr Linnell and Ms Lloyd for accompanying us and their organisation. We look forward to going back in the future and furthering our experience.
