National Simultaneous Storytime

EEEEK!  The Barry Holmes Stadium was overrun by around 500 mice this morning for our annual celebration of the National Simultaneous Storytime. This year, the chosen picture book was ‘Hickory Dickory Dash’ by author Tony Wilson.

Mr Dickson, our Director of Learning, gave an animated reading that engaged students, staff and parents alike, while Mrs Window and Ms Lloyd ran us all through some great action nursery rhymes finishing up with a very active rendition of the Hokey Pokey!

We love seeing our Early Learning, Junior Primary, Year 6 and Poplars students participating and enjoying themselves with this important national literacy event.

It is such a unique and fun way to engage and promote a love of reading to our students.

To listen to a recording of the story read by Mr Dickson, click here.

We can’t wait until next year!
